On Saturday, February 10th, 1912, a lovely young German woman married a Frenchman.   She was a college-educated teacher and he was a successful businessman.   They met on their way back from Africa where they had both been working.   They were full of hope for their new lives in their newly adopted country.  They were married for 53 years and had nine accomplished and capable children.   Their names were Hedwig and Fredric, and they are the namesakes for HeddyFreddy and they were my grandparents.
